Kentucky Heritage Newborn and Foal Halters - Figure 8 of Traditional Style

Figure 8 and Traditional Foal & Newborn Turnout Halters

    foal halter

When a foal hits the ground at three in the morning, you need a halter you can trust. Since 1982, we've been making them right here on Main Street in Paris, Kentucky—the same halters breaking in champions from Keeneland to Japan.

Our foal halters come in two styles: the Figure 8 for that snug, secure fit those first critical weeks, and our Traditional design for turnout. Both are built the old way—hand-selected #1 English bridle leather, solid brass hardware, riveted construction that's lighter than our regular halters but just as bulletproof. We hand-rub every edge, dip each one in harness oil for that rich finish that only gets better with time.

The leather? Heavy drum-dyed English bridle in brown and brass tones that'll vary lot to lot—because that's what happens when you use genuine materials instead of synthetic nonsense. Could be medium brown, could lean toward Havana. Either way, it's the real thing.

Sixteen craftsmen in our shop. Every halter touched by human hands. The same folks who've been doing this for decades, making equipment for breeding operations that don't compromise.

Add an engraved nameplate or foal disc—up to 26 characters per line. Make it personal for that first halter they'll ever wear.

"Unbelievably buttery soft and very adjustable so when foals arrive I'll be able to safely fit these halters. Terrific quick service too!"
