Quillin Leather and Tack began when Ralph Quillin experimented with craft leather projects and worked in a handcrafted sandal shop during the early 1970s. He purchased an entire shoe repair shop for $800 while simultaneously teaching himself the craft. A move to Bourbon County, Kentucky, in 1979 sparked his interest in halter making and expanded his skills.
Today, each product is crafted in-house by skilled artisans using premium full-grain leather and solid brass hardware, all under the careful supervision of The Master Craftsmen.
